5 Items Under $20/€20 Every Entrepreneur Must Own

1. Notebook/Moleskin Notebook

Regular journaling and note-taking is the quickest and most effective way to executing on your ideas. The format is not important right now, the key thing is to get into a regular habit of writing. Charting your progress, plan your goals and monitor your progress. This single purchase will increase your productivity by 100%.

For a more expensive option, you can buy a BestSelf Journal which is already broken down into an easy to follow structure. Highly recommended if you want an easy way to start.

2. Tools of Titans by Tim Ferriss

Start reading more. Whether it’s a book per week, a book per month or a book per year. Carve out 30 minutes per day to sit down and read.

My top three books for aspiring entrepreneurs are Tools of Titans by Tim Ferriss, The E-Myth Revisited by Michael Gerber and Losing My Virginity by Richard Branson. (Start with Richard Branson’s book, it's a mind-blowing story.)

3. Download Notion (Free plan or $4 per month)

Get organised. If starting or running a business, it’s almost impossible to remember everything you have to do or keep track of your progress. Notion is the best productivity/organisational app I’ve used.

I track my daily goals, my diet, my writing habit, my fitness goals and my business tasks all in this app. You can download it for both mobile and laptop.

4. Buy a potential mentor or new connection a coffee

Possibly the best investment you can make. Identify people in your city or area who are doing what you want to do. You will learn more from them in 60 minutes than weeks spend searching Reddit or Google.

90% of people will say yes but you must respect their time. Try to bring value to the conversation and don’t just drain them for information. It’s important to give back with either an introduction to someone that can help them or information that can be valuable. Do this at least once per month and preferably once per week.
